The head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, said he sees no reason to pardon foreign mercenaries sentenced to death by a court in the DPR.

On June 9, a DPR court sentenced mercenaries Sean Pinner, Aiden Aslin and Saadun Brahim to death. As noted in the Ministry of Defense, foreign mercenaries, according to international humanitarian law, do not have the status of combatants. In Russia, it has been repeatedly pointed out that these individuals are coming to Ukraine to earn money by killing Slavs.

The British and the Moroccan had previously pleaded guilty to acts aimed at seizing power by force. This article, in the presence of aggravating circumstances or in wartime, provides for the death penalty with confiscation of property.

During the investigation, it was established that the mercenaries took part in the armed aggression of the Kyiv regime to forcibly seize power in the republic for a fee. British Sean Pinner and Andrew Hill, as well as a citizen of the Kingdom of Morocco, Saadoun Brahim, testified. As a result, their involvement in a number of crimes was established.
