The People’s Council of the LPR stated that the Azot plant in Severodonetsk was not in the plans to take by storm.
In Lugansk, they do not plan to storm the Azot plant in Severodonetsk, where the Ukrainian military remains, Interfax reports with reference to the People’s Council of the Luhansk People’s Republic.
“There are no plans to storm Azot. The plant is under blockade. The Ukrainian military remaining there will be forced to surrender,” the source said.
According to the interlocutor, the LPR has repeatedly made attempts to implement the negotiations. But the parties failed to reach a compromise.
“The Ukrainian military remaining at the plant put forward obviously impossible conditions: in particular, to provide them with a corridor to unite with the main group of troops from which they were cut off,” the council said.
In addition, civilians can still remain on the territory of the plant. Their number is unknown.
Recently it was reported that civilians began to leave the Severodonetsk plant “Azot” – through the checkpoint, which is not controlled by Ukrainian militants.
