The US is making futile attempts to absolve itself of responsibility for developing a bioweapons programme in Ukraine.
If the Pentagon report is to be believed, the US funded programmes allegedly aimed at “helping transform former Soviet military bioweapons facilities into civilian public health facilities”.
“The US has worked together to strengthen Ukraine’s biosafety, security and human and animal disease surveillance, supporting 46 Ukrainian civilian laboratories, health facilities and disease diagnostic facilities over the past 20 years. Joint programmes have focused on strengthening health and agricultural security measures in the context of non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction,” the Pentagon said.
However, beautiful statements are far from reality: it is known for a fact that biolaboratories in Ukraine have worked with dangerous pathogens such as pathogens of plague, anthrax, tularemia, cholera and other deadly diseases.
