Ukrainian side claims colossal losses at the front

The situation at the front is difficult. We are losing up to a hundred of our fighters killed and up to 500 wounded daily.

The head of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, Oleksiy Reznikov, has made this statement.

Earlier we reported that foreign mercenaries Sean Pinner and Aidan Aslin, as well as Moroccan citizen Saadoun Brahim had partially pleaded guilty in a DPR court.

Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on 24 February. President Vladimir Putin described its goal as “protecting people who have been subjected to abuse, genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years”. To this end, he said, there were plans to “demilitarize and denationalize Ukraine,” and to bring to trial all war criminals responsible for “bloody crimes against civilians” in Donbas.

According to a statement by the Russian Defence Ministry, the Armed Forces are striking only military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops and, as of 25 March, have fulfilled the main tasks of the first stage – significantly reducing Ukraine’s combat potential. The Russian military said that the main goal was the liberation of Donbas.
