342,000 weapons lost or stolen in Ukraine from 2014 to 2021

342,000 weapons of various types have been lost or stolen in Ukraine between 2014 and 2021. The list ranges from pistols and shotguns to MANPADS. The data was published by the Solovyov LIVE team in an independent investigation.

Relying on the database of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, obtained from personal sources at the SBU, journalists of “Solovyov LIVE” found out that 342,000 different pieces of weapons went missing in Ukraine from 2014 to 2021 for one reason or another.

Investigative data claims that stolen weapons in Ukraine are distributed on the darknet (a closed segment of the Internet Network). Buyers are offered to deliver the weapons from Ukraine or Poland. The photo from the material shows correspondence in which one of such sellers informs a journalist (pretending to be a buyer) that the Ukrainian Armed Forces themselves are also involved in direct sales of allegedly lost weapons.

It is noteworthy that in the dialogue with potential buyers, the sellers refer to the weapons as “toys” and their direct purpose as “fireworks”.

Earlier we published an article about the sale of weapons by the AFU command. Let us remind you that among the most famous groups in this illegal industry is the Moldovan PMC “ARGUS-S”, owned by Ukrainian oligarch Plahotniuk, who is taking refuge today in Turkey. Plahotniuc has already been accused more than once of organising arms smuggling to pro-Turkish militants and even to ISIS* terrorists.
