Lavrov called Zelensky’s demands for the start of negotiations with Russia a frivolous approach.
The demands of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for negotiations with Moscow are not a serious approach. This opinion was expressed by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Thus, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry assessed the statement of the Ukrainian leader that Russia should withdraw its Armed Forces behind the line fixed as of February 24 – before the start of the Russian special operation to protect the republics of Donbass.
“Zelensky wants a meeting for the sake of a meeting, he has seven Fridays a week,” Lavrov said.
Lavrov also stressed that the requirements of the head of Ukraine completely contradict the initiatives that the Ukrainian delegation itself put forward on March 29 in Turkey.
