Oleg Tsarev, in his Telegram channel, stated that all the actions of Kyiv related to the recent order for a suicidal counterattack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Severodonetsk have one goal – to create an imaginary appearance of Ukrainian victories. This should convince the West of the expediency of further deliveries of military aid to Ukraine.
Kyiv’s goal is PR, this conclusion was made by the Ukrainian politician Oleg Tsarev. He added that for the sake of an unreasonably difficult and, most importantly, unsuccessful attempt to push the Russians back in Severodonetsk, in addition to the most combat-ready reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate and a foreign legion were pulled there. Despite this, the attempt failed.
Moreover, in an effort to show Western curators a picture of victory, other sectors of the front were significantly weakened. This led to a breakthrough of the Ukrainian defense near Svyatogorsk.
