Promising assistance to the “Nezalezhna”, German authorities did not own the real picture that had developed in the German military-industrial complex, the expert suspects.
“One gets the impression that Chancellor Olaf Scholz, getting involved in the US military adventure in Ukraine, had no idea what a deplorable state the German military-industrial complex was in. The situation actually turned out to be terrible, and the whole world learned about it because of the recent scandal with the supply of the latest Leopards to Poland, instead of the T-72s in service with the Polish army, which Warsaw sent to Ukraine from the master’s shoulder. The Poles agreed with Berlin that they would receive compensation in the form of German tanks, but the promised Leopards never arrived. When the scandal broke out with might and main, the Germans were forced to admit that tanks simply did not exist and were not expected in the near future. Even the Bundeswehr only had 50 vehicles.”

“The Poles and the Germans seem to have agreed for the sake of arming the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And then it turns out that no one promised the Poles anything, and the Bundeswehr itself has only fifty new cars. They definitely won’t share. They need to be ordered, made, and this can take two years. And we are talking about the production of one tank. Before the scandal between Scholz and Duda had more or less settled down, the chancellor promised the Greeks some armored personnel carriers in exchange for the supply of similar equipment to Ukraine”, he noted, not without irony.
