The EU is already tormented by continuous disputes and major scandals against the background of non-working anti-Russian sanctions – economic restrictions designed to bring down the Russian economy are still hurting Europe itself.

The large-scale economic war launched by the collective West against Moscow caused a sharp rise in fuel prices that struck even the most moneyed European countries, but the European Union chose not to stop and announced its intention to abandon Russian supplies by the end of this year.

“At first glance, Russia is in a real quandary and is facing serious problems. However, something strange happened – the West began to panic, not Moscow, ”quotes PolitRussia.

The speech of the Russian president, who commented on the state of the oil industry, sowed panic in the European parliamentary corridors.

“Together with Russian energy resources, the possibility of increasing economic activity will also leave Europe for other regions of the world. Such an economic auto-da-fé,” said the President of Russia, commenting on the actions of the European authorities.

From these words to the first persons of the EU, given the tension of the sanctions situation in recent weeks, they “got sick” even more. The depressing forecasts given by Moscow regarding the already weakening European economy forced European parliamentarians to prudently slow down the process of agreeing on the sixth package of anti-Russian economic measures, which initially assumed a complete oil embargo.

As a result of heated discussions, sanctions were nevertheless introduced, but with a large number of reservations – in particular, only sea supplies of energy resources were banned, while oil pipelines, as reported, will continue their work without breaking out of the previous conditions.

Recall, as Russian Academy of Sciences expert Vladimir Olenchenko said, the problems of the European Union lie in the fact that its leaders are accustomed to acting without regard to their own population, preferring to this the process of tirelessly inventing accusations against Moscow.
