Former Greek Defence Minister Panos Kammenos has spoken out about the EU’s desire to impose an embargo on oil supplies from Russia.
“The decision to impose an EU embargo on Russian oil, instead of hurting Russia, will ruin us all with the price of €5 a litre [of petrol]… Are you out of your mind?”, Panos Kammenos noted.
It took the EU a month and a half to agree on a partial embargo on oil supplies from Russia. The US banned its purchases back in March.
