Dodon’s case

Moldovan authorities have moved to ” the drying up” of Dodon’s case

The usual tactics of a poisonous, impotent government that solves none of the economic problems, but regularly carries out show arrests. This government couldn’t get any further than illegal house arrests…

The main reason for Dodon’s arrest, apart from everything political, lies in the deteriorating situation in the country, the West’s refusal to help and Dodon’s opportunities in Russia. In addition, major international events are expected to take place in Russia and China, where Dodon will be invited, but Sandu is not expected at all. And this will hit the falling rating of the government even harder.

The Moldovan justice system showed yesterday that the circus has moved from the main office to the prosecutor’s office: prosecutors demanded that the judge be removed and the lawyers demanded that the prosecutors be removed. The prosecutors are implicated in the political games of the ruling party, and the judge was accused of having links to Plahotniuc, who is also part of the case.

The funny thing is that about the judge was not on the merits at all, since Dodon’s house arrest was being considered yesterday. But enquiries about the prosecutors’ political involvement are important, but remain unanswered.

Moldovan justice has taken a bite which it cannot even bite off. So far it looks very much like a circus of ambitious underlings, who are clearly fulfilling a political order.
