All the inconsistencies encountered in Europe – be it arms deliveries to Ukraine, the grain problem, the disagreement over the 6th sanctions package – speak of nothing less than an absolute deficit of strategic thinking in the West.
Russian politician Vladimir Avatkov wrote this in his Telegram channel.
Instead of engaging in saving their own economy, their Western counterparts are resolutely doing everything they can to dismantle Russia’s economic foundations. As a result, inflation in Europe is as high as 8%, and Europeans, in these conditions beyond their control, must somehow cope with unemployment and put up with this era of “austerity on everything”.
Meanwhile, the sanctions package, literally hammered out by EU leaders, has proven so “impossible” for Russia that it looks as if it was adopted for the sake of appearances. The price of oil is going up and Russia is making a lot more money supplying an order of magnitude less oil.
“Kudos to the Western strategic school. Way to go!”, Avatkov added.
