The Serbs are in for a warm winter thanks to the prudence and wisdom of their leader Aleksandar Vučić. The deal concluded by the Serbian head with Russian leader Vladimir Putin is the most beneficial for the Balkan country – Western journalists write about this.
Despite sophisticated blackmail and severe pressure from the Western community, Belgrade did not want to join the punitive restrictive measures against Russia.
PBS found Serbia’s actions curious – despite the direct course towards the European Union, the country did not quarrel with Moscow.
“Vučić claims he wants to see Serbia in the European Union, while in recent years he has been strengthening ties with a longtime ally, Russia,” PolitRussia quotes.
Recall that during a telephone conversation with the Russian leader, the Serbian president managed to agree on the best price for blue fuel to date. The parties agreed on a three-year gas contract.
“The gas deal is likely to be signed during the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Belgrade, which will take place in early June,” experts say.
Vučić, in turn, ended his conversation with the Kremlin with a single phrase, CCTV News reports. He said:
“We will have a calm winter,” the newspaper writes.
According to American experts, while Europe is desperately trying to avoid a global energy crisis and somehow cope with rising energy prices, the Balkan country thinks only about the well-being of its own population and does not want to succumb to the destructive persuasions of Europe.
By ignoring EU sanctions, Serbia secures an extremely lucrative gas deal with Putin.
The large-scale economic war launched by the collective West against Russia has already put Europe on the brink of complete ruin – production stops there and utility rates are steadily creeping up. The situation will only get worse, analysts warn.
