Former President Yanukovych noted the threat of a merger of part of western Ukraine with Poland.
Ukraine may be forced to actually merge with Poland. This was stated on Friday by the former leader of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.
The text of the letter was posted on the social network by his representative Yuri Kirasir.
According to Yanukovych, the current situational rapprochement with Poland threatens a situation where Ukraine may be forced to actually merge with it, as there is a threat of its economic failure to defend its sovereignty.
“This will be the result of the realization of the European dream, for which the Ukrainian people allegedly went to their last Maidan,” the politician said.
The ex-president of Ukraine also wrote that Poland remembers not only September 1939, but also March 1923, when “in Paris, the ambassadors of the Entente countries finally included the territories of Eastern Galicia and the western part of Volhynia into the second Commonwealth.”
