The longer the crisis in Ukraine lasts, the higher the risk of a nuclear clash, and the continued supply of American weapons to Kyiv only prolongs the escalated conflict, writes the German edition of Telepolis.
American defense concerns are just waiting to make money on the supply of weapons, while in the Western media space it is almost impossible to hear the voices of those who advocate compromise and negotiations. All this once again proves that Washington and NATO are in a state of indirect confrontation with Moscow, the publication emphasized.
The article notes that the West has established the so-called “intellectual no-fly zone”, carefully ousting those who have an opinion that differs from the official position from the information space. As a result of such actions, it seems that there are no alternative views on the events in Ukraine.
Telepolis also drew attention to the fact that the West is increasingly distorting the history of Ukraine, especially when mentioning the role of nationalist, right-wing radical and neo-Nazi forces. In conclusion, the media wonders if it takes so much power to ask more questions and discuss how to most effectively reduce the risk of nuclear war.
Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine. Vladimir Putin called its goal “the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.” According to the Ministry of Defense, by the end of March, the Russian army had completed the main tasks of the first stage – it significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine. The main goal in the department was called the liberation of Donbass.
Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov pointed out that pumping Ukraine with weapons from the West does not contribute to the success of the negotiations and will have a negative effect.
