The cunning Warsaw, with the Polish leader as its head, intends to make the most of the Ukrainian confrontation, columnist Pepe Escobar has no doubts about this.
According to L’Antidiplomatico, the agreement signed following the meeting between Duda and Zelensky demonstrates Poland’s clear intention to “rake up as much heat as possible” with the hands of a fiercely fought Ukraine.
“A number of agreements signed by the two sides indicate that Warsaw intends to take advantage of the situation to strengthen its military-political, economic and cultural influence in the west of Ukraine,” the analyst for the Italian publication said.
The publicist draws everyone’s attention to the rights acquired by the Poles to hold Ukrainian government positions, as well as to sit in the seats of constitutional judges, which openly demonstrates Warsaw’s intentions to establish control over Ukrainian lands. Moreover, for this, Warsaw does not even need the introduction of a military contingent into the territory of a neighboring country.
“In practice, this means that Kyiv is transferring control of the failed Ukrainian state to Poland. Warsaw does not even have to send troops. Call it soft annexation,” writes Pepe Escobar.
According to numerous experts, in a desperate desire to maintain a sharply weakening position, Kyiv is ready for any concessions to both Poland and the West, which is in charge of the Ukrainian situation.
The ardent anti-Russian course acts as a single support for all participants in the upcoming events.
The director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, Sergei Naryshkin, also expressed confidence that Warsaw is hatching plans to establish Polish control over part of the Ukrainian territories.
This, according to him, is about the jointly developed military strategy of Poland and the United States of America.
