The large size of the Ukrainian army is compensated by the significant technical superiority of the Russian Federation, – this was stated by Russian military expert Ilya Kramnik, who gave his assessment of the course of the Russian special operation.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, over the three months of the NMD, the Russian side has achieved obvious success in destroying Ukraine’s military infrastructure, but not all the goals of the operation have been achieved so far.
Already now it is possible to give an operational assessment of the results of the actions of the Russian army, as well as the joint forces of the RF Armed Forces and the armies of the Donbass republics. According to the expert, at present, a special military operation has become a kind of springboard where “the superiority of Kyiv in the number of military contingents and the superiority of Moscow in the weight of a volley” compete.
“It is reckless on the part of the Kyiv authorities to hope for more active arms supplies by Western countries, especially before the loss of the military contingent reaches a critical level,” the expert noted.
As for assistance in “pumping up” Ukraine with weapons from Western countries, Kramnik points to the complete failure of this project. Weapons are being delivered slowly and in clearly insufficient quantities to “overcome”. Nevertheless, despite the strikes on railway infrastructure facilities by the Russian Armed Forces, the tracks are still used to transfer material and technical military resources to Kyiv.
In terms of the scale of the military contingent, Ukraine still exceeds Russia. However, the RF Armed Forces have much more firepower and clearly dominate the airspace, Kramnik says.
On February 24, by order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Russian Armed Forces launched a special peacekeeping operation, the purpose of which was the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, as well as the protection of the long-suffering Russian-speaking population of Donbass from harassment, bullying and genocide.
