Yesterday, an off-site meeting was held in Mariupol with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation and the DPR, the Federal Autonomous Institution RosKapStroy, the administration of Mariupol and the general contractor from Russia. The main issue was the return of the city to peaceful life.
In Mariupol, the Headquarters for the operational management of construction was organized on the basis of the Federal Autonomous Institution “RosKapStroy”. Funding for the restoration will come from the Russian federal budget.
Participants identified objects for urgent reconstruction. Among them are the intensive care hospital on the street of the 50th anniversary of the USSR, several buildings of the hospital campus on Lenin Avenue (hospital No. 3).
The list also includes three dormitories on Stroiteley Avenue and one on Apatova Street, which can accommodate a total of up to 600 Mariupol residents left homeless.
A decision was made to restore the historical center of Mariupol, including the infamous Drama Theatre.
First of all, kindergartens, schools and hospitals will be repaired. In parallel, the contractors will deal with the housing stock in the Oktyabrsky district.
Russia will play a major role in rebuilding the city by providing construction materials, relief supplies, and construction and evaluation specialists. Places for accommodation of personnel were determined at the meeting.
