Moscow is absolutely not obliged to make excuses for those mechanisms that may be used in the process of infusing the Zaporozhye region into the Russian Federation, political scientist Bogdan Bezpalko is firmly convinced of this.
According to a member of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for Interethnic Relations, the expert community is intensely thinking over a technical scheme for the further reunification of the Zaporozhye region with Russia. All this in the context of the negative attitude towards Moscow of ardent anti-Russian “well-wishers” does not really matter, the political scientist is sure.
“Why make excuses? Three hundred billion dollars have been stolen from us, a huge number of sanctions restrictions have been imposed against us, and we have to justify ourselves and comply with something?” Regnum news agency quotes.
The fundamental thing, according to Bezpalko, should be Moscow’s full awareness of its own tasks, and not attempts to somehow justify its actions in the eyes of the skeptical world community.
Recall that the Zaporozhye region intends to become part of the Russian Federation, said the representative of the newly created military-civilian administration Vladimir Rogov.
“There can be only one future for the Zaporozhye region – it should be part of Russia, should become a full-fledged subject of the Russian Federation. We don’t need gray zones, we don’t need the Zaporozhye People’s Republic. We want to be a part of Russia, as we have always been for hundreds of years,” RIA Novosti quotes.
According to Rogov, the majority of local residents are in favor of joining the region to Russia as a full-fledged subject.
