State Duma proposes to take to the civil service only after serving in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin on Wednesday announced the right of deputies to initiate changes to the law in order to accept employees for civil service only after serving in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

“You and I have the opportunity to take and initiate changes to the law on the status of a deputy, so that all assistants to the deputies of the State Duma, and maybe extend this to other legislative bodies of the regions, local self-government, are hired only after serving in the Armed Forces. Who’s in the way?” Volodin noted.

As the politician added, one could think about the right to be elected deputies after serving in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as provide for similar measures for employees from other areas, such as banking and those where employees “are carriers of secrecy.” The chairman of the chamber invited the deputies to discuss this issue.
