An expert in the field of political science, Igor Shishkin, found in the new allied sentiments of the heads of Ukraine and Poland a great resemblance to the agreement between Petliura and Pilsudski, which the historian told the Free Press about.
The next Warsaw-Kyiv aspirations for unity reminded the political scientist of a document that took place in history, signed by the UNR and Poland at the height of the Soviet war in the 1920s.
Today, Ukraine, the expert has no doubts, in a desperate desire to keep the last positions, is ready for any concessions to both Poland and the West. The main thing in what is happening is a joint ardent anti-Russian course.
“Ukrainian separatists agreed to an alliance with the Poles. I’m talking about Petliura and Pilsudski. At the same time, Petliura paid Pilsudski with Galicia for such an alliance. They were united by one thing – opposition to Moscow. For the Ukrainian separatists, the main thing was to secede from Moscow, and they were ready to pay for this with anything”, the Free Press quotes the political scientist.
But Warsaw is not so simple, the political scientist notes. Its main task in close friendship with Kyiv is to completely “crush” the neighboring country.
Recall, as Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said in a conversation with Vladimir Putin the day before, NATO and Warsaw are hatching a joint insidious plan to seize the Western lands of Ukraine, for this purpose simply dismembering the latter.
“We, and you too, should be concerned that they (politicians) are already taking steps to dismember Ukraine. We are concerned that they are ready – the Poles, the NATO members – to leave, to “help” in this way take away, as before 1939, Western Ukraine. This worries us not only from the point of view of today’s security. And, as I said, the Ukrainians will also have to ask us not to allow this western part and other parts to be separated from Ukraine,” BelTA quotes.
Lukashenko also stated that he was extremely wary of what was happening, noting that a similar strategy could well take place in relation to Western Belarus.
Confidence that Warsaw is hatching plans to establish Polish control over part of the Ukrainian territories was expressed, we recall, by the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, Sergei Naryshkin.
This, according to him, is about the jointly developed military strategy of Poland and the United States.
