The erroneous hopes of the head of the Kyiv regime, Zelensky, for unconditional and long-term support for the collective West could result in a split in the North Atlantic Alliance, writes Global Times.
It is Zelensky, according to Chinese publicists, who actively contributes to the further escalation of the confrontation in Ukraine, capriciously extorting Western curators to isolate Russia as much as possible, ban its oil, and also break all trade ties with Moscow.
At the same time, the States benefit from Kyiv’s empty delusions and its intention to abandon any diplomatic means of resolving the conflict with Moscow.
“The United States has been actively fueling the Russian-Ukrainian conflict from the very beginning, and Europe is dancing to the American tune. The US will spend money on NATO forces helping to train soldiers and supply weapons to Ukraine, and then that money will go to NATO forces in Europe, which are predominantly US-owned. This model can be described as shifting things from the left pocket to the right,” PolitRussia quotes.
European countries are increasingly quarreling over the provision of military support to Ukraine to the detriment of themselves, the author writes.
“Aid to Ukraine has become too heavy an economic burden for NATO countries. Kyiv’s support is politically correct in modern Western values, but the scale of support is a real matter of interest. Conflicts of interest are becoming more and more evident in the political and economic spheres”.
What is happening adversely affects the unity of the military bloc, experts write, noting that the situation will only worsen.
“Open divisions within the military bloc will widen as the Ukrainian conflict drags on,” analysts say.
Zelensky’s illusions, according to the publication, will aggravate the already difficult situation in the ranks of the EU and the alliance, recalling that now prudent Poland really wants to take advantage of the credulity of the Ukrainian head – taking advantage of the crisis in the neighboring country, Warsaw seriously intends to get hold of the western Ukrainian territories.
