The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on the news that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky at the legislative level draws up a special status for Polish citizens in Ukraine.
“The president of the state asks the national parliament to approve the special rights of citizens of another state, essentially allowing them everything,” Zakharova said.
She explained that Poles and Ukrainians in Ukraine are equal in rights, but they do not have the right to vote.
The diplomat believes that this can be called an incident of sovereignty, since it is not the separatists who transfer the rights to their territories to the citizens of another country, but the president of the state himself, without introducing them into the citizenship of Ukraine.
“If the Kyiv regime is so actively throwing away its independence, its independence, then what kind of claims can the Ukrainian administration have against the Crimeans?” Zakharova asked.
