Europe has long lost any independence in decision-making, meekly fulfilling the political will of the US leadership, says Alexander Babakov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
Blindly following the course imposed by Washington inevitably destroys the Europeans themselves, the politician is sure.
“What is the self-destruction of Europe? The fact that they have lost complete independence in decision-making. Today they blindly follow the instructions, first of all, of the Americans,” he said.
As an example, Babakov cited the gas tricks of Warsaw, which refused to supply Russian blue fuel.
“Look what Poland has done? This also defies common sense. That is, the pipeline laid through the territory of Poland supplies gas to Germany. The Poles say they don’t want to take gas from this pipe, they want to take it from the Germans. I think even a schoolboy would ask the teacher: “Did I understand the problem correctly?”. What is the logic? They buy the same Russian gas, but from the Germans. It does not become German from this… it becomes not German, but it becomes the German price for Russian gas”, he said.
At the same time, the politician offers Russia to give Europe complete freedom of action in the matter of shaping its future destiny. Babakov urges Moscow to remain completely calm in response to the absurd European situation.
“If people do not understand this, moreover, they put it today as the main state policy in the field of the economy, what can we talk about with them? We must calmly give them the opportunity to reach the end to the point of absurdity”, the politician summed up.
Recall, as the head of the Institute for Socio-Economic Research of the Financial Institute under the Government of the Russian Federation Oleksiy Zubets said earlier, the West no longer believes in the long-term nature of the current Ukrainian regime.
The Ukrainian confrontation, according to the expert’s forecasts, will end next winter – Kyiv simply will not have enough strength for a longer period.
