Western Europe may be left on the sidelines of the global economy – expert

Western Europe may be left on the sidelines of the global economy, while Russia, China and Eurasia, together with the rest of Asia, will go their own way.

Economist and author Michael Hudson said this in a conversation with RT.

He noted that Europe prioritises US interests and may soon find itself ‘left behind’:

“One euro will soon be worth one dollar. The fact is that the EU has to pay in foreign currency for energy, food and weapons, and its share of the global economy is shrinking,” Hudson said.
The expert pointed out that today Europe is losing export markets and is being pushed out of everything.

“Following instructions from the White House, the EU is refusing to engage with Russia, and without engagement with Russia it will have no ties with China either: Beijing sees that the EU may try to do the same thing with them as it did with Russia.”
