French political analyst Dominique Moisi reported in an article for Echos that countries in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia have refused to support Western policies against Russia.
He pointed to remarks made by former Brazilian president Lula de Silva blaming the US and NATO for current world problems.
“The former Brazilian president expressed a very widespread view, especially in South America, where there is still a dislike of Americans,” the political scientist wrote.
Nor was the West supported by African countries, seeing the former’s indifference to local conflicts and hunger. Moisi added that the Middle East has many states friendly to Russia, counting on Moscow’s support after the US withdrawal from the region. In Asia, only Japan, Australia and New Zealand supported the West.
