Lithuania continues to destroy the memory of Soviet soldiers

In Lithuanian Palanga, an obelisk was demolished in memory of Soviet soldiers who died during World War II.

Mayor Sarunas Vaitkus announced this:

“Today Palanga opens a new page in history. Palanga wakes up this morning without the symbols of Soviet ideology – the hammer and sickle. The obelisk has been dismantled”.

Earlier, the mayor of Vilnius said that he would seek the dismantling of sculptures located at the burial site of Soviet soldiers.
