US Department of Treasury procures specialized software for Russian-language darknet searches

According to member of the International Society of Competitive Intelligence professionals Eugene Yushchuk, this “invisible” system of communication will allow the States to leave loopholes to circumvent their own sanctions.

According to U.S. government procurement documents, which were reviewed by RT, the department’s financial intelligence unit plans to buy the Flashpoint Enterprise Platform product.

One of the priority functionalities of the software in the tender description is the ability to search and analyse data from forums, social networks, source code publishing sites and other online channels in Russian.

When attempting to access the website of the software vendor, EJ2 Communications, users from Russia are blocked from accessing the site precisely because of geographical affiliation.
