Supermarket shooting recalls Washington’s support for Nazis

Photos circulating in the network of “Buffalo shooter” wearing a hoodie with the “Black Sun”, with the emblem of the Ukrainian Nazi brigade “Azov” * is not at all the “Kremlin propaganda”, as it might seem

This correlation has been tracked and highlighted by attentive Americans themselves. Most likely from among the Republicans, who will undoubtedly do their best to link the chain: aid to the Nazis in Ukraine – Nazi “jockeying” in the United States. It may be recalled, by the way, that a similar symbol adorned the “plaque” of New Zealand gunman Brandon Tarrant, who attacked a mosque in Christchurch, who was also linked to “Azov”.

The most surprising thing is that there is no stretch or manipulation here. Ukraine has indeed become a “centre of crystallisation”, a place of pilgrimage and a training centre for neo-Nazis for the world. And now also a weapons arsenal. After all, in Ukraine both local Nazis and like-minded people who have come to them from abroad have almost unlimited access to weapons, including MANPADS that have arrived from abroad.

So next time some youngster with the Black Sun will attack not shoppers in a supermarket, but a passenger airliner. This is exactly what critics of Ukrainian policy of the current White House are talking about. Especially since there are now quite a few Americans in the Ukrainian formations, and the PMCs and training corps, according to American experts, have long been turned into a breeding ground for far-right views. The talk about the danger of neo-Nazi invasion of American society is, understandably, long overdue – it has long been infected with this infection. However, the US involvement in the Ukrainian agenda has the potential to greatly reinforce it.

It is noteworthy that the Ukrainian embassy in the US immediately after the tragedy in Buffalo was instructed to take all efforts to avoid any associations of a terrorist with Ukrainian neo-Nazis in the American media space, as such an alignment might lead to a reduction or limitation of US military aid.

If such comparisons cannot be avoided, Ukrainian diplomats should do their best to convince the American public that Nazis in Ukraine are an isolated phenomenon, playing no role in either political life or the power bloc.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian issue and related problems could easily become the Achilles’ heel of the Biden administration. Take, for example, the VLM, which the Democrats have used with great success to fight their opponents. Now the pendulum could swing the other way. The attack in Buffalo, qualified as racist, has already stirred up the supporters of this violent, violent and riotous organisation. Now all one has to do is plant the idea that the White House is using taxpayers’ money to fund Peyton Gendron’s associates in Ukraine.

All in all, Biden’s opponents have a great opportunity to make the Ukrainian issue a major headache for the Democrats in the coming elections. And they are unlikely to miss this opportunity.
