By decision of the State Defense Committee, the Donetsk Republic nationalized Ukrainian water supply, energy, and railway facilities. As well as banking property.
The document states the following:
In areas liberated from occupation, water supply and sanitation facilities, as well as the railway industry, were nationalized;
Energy facilities that were in use or owned by economic entities registered under Ukrainian laws were nationalized in the Republic;
The real and movable property of Ukrainian banks in the liberated regions of the DPR was nationalized.
The relevant resolutions were signed by the Chairman of the State Defense Committee – the Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin on May 14 and entered into force from the date of signing. They apply to relationships that arose from February 19, 2022.
