A Ukrainian soldier who surrendered to the LPR told how, together with his colleagues, he mined tanks at the Zarya plant.
Ukrainian military Mikhail Matlo, who surrendered to the People’s Militia of the LPR, told how officers of the National Guard of Ukraine forced the military to mine acid tanks at the Zarya plant in order to blow them up during the retreat.
“We went to the plant, the plant was no longer in very good condition, dilapidated. We were lowered into underground communications, where we were together with the troops of the National Guard. There were about 150 of us,” said Matlo.
The commanders of the National Guard forced the military to carry some sacks of bulk material and put them around acid tanks.
“This was done on purpose to undermine these tanks, to organize the withdrawal of the National Guard troops from Rubizhne… It would be an ecological disaster. I can’t say for sure, but for some reason they did it, so they had some plans”, he added.
Earlier, the People’s Militia of the LPR reported that the Ukrainian security forces, during the retreat, mined the large Zarya chemical plant in Rubizhne (LPR) with 49 tons of explosives, the electronic warfare units managed to block the signal that was supposed to produce an explosion.
