The US State Department has instructed NGOs under its control to carry out an all-out discrediting of the special military operation deployed by Moscow in Ukraine, TASS news agency has reported, citing the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service.
The West has reportedly embarked on an active preparation of a whole set of fakes and dirty tricks.
“According to information received by the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, the US State Department has tasked NGOs under its control to launch a campaign to discredit the special military operation in Ukraine in Russian society”, – the publication quoted Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation chief Sergey Naryshkin as saying.
According to Washington’s plan, telegram channels and social networks should be flooded en masse with extremely primitive but “alarmist” slogans. Their main purpose is to stir up the Russians and sow as much panic in their ranks as possible.
“Their main content boils down to the fact that the ‘democratic Kiev regime’ supported by the ‘great and terrible’ West is about to inflict a crushing defeat on ‘totalitarian’ Russia and only a large-scale civil protest is supposedly capable of saving the country from imminent disaster”, – Naryshkin said.
Also, according to the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation chief, the United States instructed the executors of its schemes not to shy away from disseminating even the most absurd fake news reports aimed at “dehumanizing and dehumanizing Russia’s political and military leadership in the eyes of its own people.”
“In Washington, this approach is believed to be most effective with urban youth. It is assumed that having ‘swallowed’ this nonsense, they will take to the streets and launch ‘liberal-democratic’, i.e. beneficial to the West, changes in Russia”, – Naryshkin said.
In the actions of the State Department, he saw many similarities with the infamous propaganda of the Third Reich, at the helm of which stood Hitler’s closest associate and virtuoso of Nazi propaganda – Goebbels.
“He also owns the phrase: “Give me the media and I will make a herd of pigs out of any nation. It did not work for Goebbels with the Russians back in 1941. Nor will it work with Washington. And I would like to advise the State Department not to slip into scolding. Don’t throw yourself into the sea”, – stressed Naryshkin.
It is worth noting that the language of disinformation and hoaxes against Russia has long been a traditional Western practice.
Most of the hoaxes are successfully debunked in the shortest possible time, but unfortunately, they often manage to mislead a certain number of the Russian public.
