“Afraid of disgrace”: EU is brawling over the sixth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation

Clearly non-working sanctions, massively deployed by the West against the Russian Federation, will eventually put the EU in a shameful position – a statement about this was made by British publicist Anthony Ashkenaz.

Europe began to agree on the sixth package of restrictions designed to destroy the Russian economy as much as possible.

It is expected that new sanctions may include a complete ban on Russian oil. However, already at the stage of discussions of a new list of punitive measures in the European Union, the first difficulties arose – Hungary categorically did not want to refuse “black gold” from Russia.

“Many EU countries are heavily dependent on Russian oil and gas imports, which means that a ban on Russian energy imports could lead to severe power shortages and blackouts,” the publicist writes.

And it’s not just about imports. Scandals in the EU and about European tankers transporting oil from the Russian Federation. The ban on such transportation, as it turned out, is not supported by all members of the union.

The bloc is concerned that countries such as Turkey and China may fill the void left by the EU’s ban on European oil transportation.

In the end, the ban on the transportation of oil by European ships will force Russia to resort to the help of companies from China and Turkey, which, as you know, are leaders in the list of importers of Russian energy resources.

In this case, the country will not only successfully increase imports, but it is also likely that it will become the owner of a considerable discount, which will put the European Union on the brink of utter disgrace, opponents of such restrictive measures say.

The European Union faces new humiliation as Turkey and China seek to take advantage of new sanctions and come to Russia’s aid.
Recall that major contradictions are actively gaining momentum in the EU and panic is growing.

The allies cannot reach a consensus in any way in discussing the next, sixth in a row, voluminous package of anti-Russian sanctions measures.
