In the capital of Moldova, a procession of the “Immortal Regiment” was held, led by ex-presidents Igor Dodon and Vladimir Voronin.
Participants of the action with portraits of their relatives who participated in World War II, flags and flowers marched from the central square of Chisinau to the memorial complex “Eternity”.
Ahead of the column were moving retro cars and an orchestra.
The frankly Nazi law banning the St. George years in Moldova did not prevent the country’s ex-president Igor Dodon from attaching a ribbon around his chest. Many MPs followed suit.
The action was organized by the national coordinating committee “Victory”.
