Voting for the presidency of the country began in South Ossetia

Exactly at 8.00 in South Ossetia and beyond, all 76 polling stations opened.

72 of them – in the territory of the republic, 2 – in North Ossetia, one more – in Moscow and Sukhum.

Anatoly Bibilov and Alan Gagloev, who made it to the second round of elections, are running for the presidency. In order for the second round of elections to take place, more than 30% of voters must take part in the voting. The winner is determined by a majority vote.

Voting will last until 20.00 Moscow time.
