This is how Russian politician Leonid Slutsky commented on Anthony Blinken’s statement in his telegram channel that Moscow was allegedly “trying to distort history” to justify a special operation in Ukraine.
“Russia has always stood and will stand guard over historical truth. We are the heirs of the victors of fascism. It is we who are fighting manifestations of neo-Nazism today,” he said, recalling that the United States has always hushed up the decisive role of the Soviet Union in the defeat of Nazi Germany.
