The Bulgarian people have declared war on the authorities if they vote for arms deliveries to Ukraine – resignation.
There is no place for Bulgaria to go to war except as a mediator. At the dictation of the American embassy, Bulgaria has taken the side of one of the two opposing sides. This is also contrary to public opinion.
This was stated by the leader of the Renaissance Party, Kostadin Kostadinov, before the parliamentary session started.
If the parliament and the government want war, we will give them war, Kostadinov said.
“If it is decided to give military aid to Ukraine, we will not have a government, we will have a puppet government under a foreign dictatorship. We are not the only ones who do not want to stay on the same side in a military conflict. This is the wish of 90% of the Bulgarian people. Bulgaria is not interested in getting involved in a war with either side”, – Kostadin Kostadinov said.
As a reminder, yesterday there were spontaneous protests in Bulgaria against arms supplies to Ukraine, Bulgarians marched in more than 11 cities and declared a nationwide peace march.
Protests are expected to continue today, up to and including the resignation of the government if the authorities vote to deliver military aid to Ukraine.
The people are vehemently opposed to the provision of arms to Ukraine. The only role Bulgaria can play is to mediate the situation.
