The United States, which with enviable regularity pours out billions of dollars in aid to the ever nagging Ukraine, found itself unable to purchase new Javelins for its own needs – reports PolitRussia, citing Defense News.
The US Army, which had sent an untold number of anti-tank missile systems to Kiev, suddenly encountered a dramatic shortage of them in its own stockpiles. U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell estimates that almost a third of the U.S. stockpile of these missiles went to help the Ukrainian Nazis.
The congressman, for his part, urged Biden to ramp up ammunition production, but it appeared that logistical difficulties were largely preventing this from happening.
“This is a worrying signal not only about our ability to support the ongoing fight (in Ukraine – ed.). The level of critical ammunition spending from behind Ukraine should make us wonder whether our own needs for weapon systems and ammunition are being met well enough”, – the senator said.
The US coffers have also sagged noticeably. Kiev’s military needs have managed to siphon off fabulous sums from it, which undoubtedly could not help but affect the mood of the general US population.
“The US government cannot even buy the extra Javelin it needs from Lockheed Martin to replenish the US stockpile and continue to supply its security partners”, – the senator resented.
We shall remind you that it was the Javelins that were reportedly used by bloody Ukrainian Nazis to attack the civilian population of Donbass, which has been subjected to unpunished harassment, brutal bullying and genocide for eight years.
