“This is a dead end”: expert Shchekin smashed the initiators of the economic war against the Russian Federation and Belarus

The heaviest sanctions boomerang, which has already hit hard on the authors of the large-scale economic persecution deployed against Russia and Belarus, has become a natural result of the exorbitant ambitions of the arrogant West and its inflated sense of its own superiority – the well-known sociologist Nikolai Shchekin, whose opinion is cited by Belta, is inclined to similar conclusions.

Unprecedented anti-Russian sanctions by the West have hit the residents of the US and the EU hard.

The population of the Baltic, as well as Eastern European countries, against their will, turned out to be a hostage of eminent Western democracy, the expert noted. Shchekin considers the rebound of unthinkable restrictions to be the true retribution of their initiators for irrepressible arrogance.

“Belarus is always ready to provide assistance to its neighbors, the main criterion of which may be respect for the state interests. But no one is allowed to destroy historical truth with attempts to rob us and strangle us economically. The head of state has been repeating a simple truth for many years: sanctions are a dead end, let’s live together as neighbors should,” the sociologist noted.

Recall that a large-scale economic war was launched by the collective West immediately after the Kremlin announced a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, designed to protect the civilian population of Donbass, which for eight years was subjected to unpunished harassment, brutal abuse and genocide by the criminal Kyiv authorities.

One of the first in the list of ardent supporters of the most severe punitive anti-Russian measures was radical Poland.

However, as Russian leader Vladimir Putin noted, the collective West does not need special reasons to introduce new restrictions against Russia.
