President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on retaliatory economic measures against the unfriendly actions of certain foreign states. The document is published on the official portal of legal information.
“Federal state authorities, state authorities of the Russian Federation, other state bodies, local authorities, organizations and individuals under the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation, by virtue of their activities, proceed from the fact that from the date of entry into force of this decree in relation to certain legal entities, individuals and organizations under their control, special economic measures are applied,” the decree says.
Thus, the document prohibits making transactions and fulfilling obligations to foreign individuals and legal entities that have fallen under retaliatory sanctions, as well as exporting raw materials and products from the country in favor of such persons.
The government is instructed to draw up an appropriate list within ten days and determine additional criteria for the above-mentioned transactions.
The document comes into force from the moment of publication and will be valid until the cancellation of special economic measures.
