Scholz will not go to Kyiv until Steinmeier is allowed there

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz cannot yet come to Kyiv and personally communicate with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The reason for this is the Kyiv regime’s refusal to accept German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

This was stated by Scholz himself, talking with the ZDF TV channel, the political magazine PolitExpert reports. He noted that this April decision did not go unnoticed. Now it prevents him from going to Ukraine. In addition, Scholz noted that “you can’t do that.”

“It should not be that a country that provides so much military and economic assistance, which is needed for security guarantees that are so important in the future, is told: the president cannot come,” the head of the German government said.

Zelensky had previously denied Steinmeier a visit to Kyiv. He justified his decision by saying that the German president had allegedly been too soft on Russia in the past.
