“No money – no gas”: expert comments on Europe’s accusations against the Russian Federation

If there are rubles, there will be gas. Russia has nothing to be ashamed of and, moreover, should not pay attention to accusations of a dubious nature, according to an expert in political science, Yuri Svetov.

Recall that the Kremlin’s European Energy Commissioner, Kadri Simson, publicly reproached the Kremlin for its intention to split the EU with new demands regarding ruble payments for Russian blue fuel.

“These are people who in general respect all the rules of international relations, property rights, including private property rights, declare the confiscation of property without trial, that they will take away the money of the Russian Federation and give it to Ukraine. At the same time, they talk about the correctness or incorrectness of our actions”, the RT expert quotes.

Moscow needs to adhere to its own competent political course, despite any external attempts to lead it astray, the expert is sure.

“Our position is as follows: we supply gas – pay. In rubles. If you don’t want to pay, there will be no gas… You have imposed these sanctions, why should we obey your sanctions?” Svetov noted.

Recall that restless Poland, as well as Bulgaria, which followed its example, have already been left without Russian gas.

Both of them rebelled against the ruble settlement scheme with Gazprom, which, in response, quite rightly, decided to simply complete the supply of blue fuel to intractable countries.

The short-sighted, but stubborn position of the latter has already managed to acquire a portion of popular anger. Europeans are shocked by the prospects of a global energy crisis, which, according to experts, will overtake them next winter.
