In Odessa, a group of people were detained who were preparing to organize a protest action timed to coincide with the tragedy in the House of Trade Unions.
This is reported by the publication “Izvestia”, referring to the State Bureau of Investigation. In their Telegram channel, law enforcement officers reported the arrest of 12 people.
“As a result, the employees of the State Bureau of Investigation discovered and detained 12 people who are reasonably suspected of preparing sabotage, protests and riots in the Odessa region. Also, according to operational information, the detainees were working on inciting Odessa residents to riots”, the SBI said.
The suspects allegedly found weapons and explosives. It cannot be ruled out that in reality they had nothing of the kind. In addition, most likely, the detainees will be called Russian saboteurs. They are now seen in Ukraine on every corner.
Today, May 2, marks the eighth anniversary of the tragedy in Odessa. In 2014, the radicals defeated the anti-Maidan tent camp, and then herded its supporters into the House of Trade Unions. Molotov cocktails were thrown at the building, which caused a major fire. It killed 48 people and injured hundreds. Those responsible for the crimes were never punished.
