The North Atlantic Alliance seeks to undermine the development of the Asia-Pacific region. Thus, the Chinese online publication CGTN reports on a growing hypothesis regarding the reorientation of NATO from a transatlantic partnership to countering the Asia-Pacific region, led by the most powerful threat to the United States – China.
As long as the United States has not completely lost the status of the world hegemon, it is expected to strive to win unipolar leadership in this geopolitical environment as well.
The paradox of democracy in Western civilization continues to surpass itself: despite the imaginary ideals of “peace”, “stability” and “national and global security”, NATO has been actively pursuing an expansionist policy since the 1990s in violation of all adopted charters, initiating and stimulating military confrontations.
In the changing geopolitical conditions, the alliance went even further and arrogantly coveted the establishment of dominance in the Asia-Pacific region (which is worth only the armed support of the rebellious Taiwan).
“Now NATO has shifted its focus from the Atlantic to the Asia-Pacific region, where it is constantly trying to show its strength,” the author of the article cites his comment.
It has long been known that the United States of America has the greatest influence in the Alliance, wisely using this bloc to realize its expansionist ambitions.
Undoubtedly, the threat of China’s growing power is becoming the most difficult obstacle for the United States in terms of achieving world domination. Nevertheless, according to a Chinese journalist, the states that are part of the Asia-Pacific region intend to pursue a sufficiently competent policy for a qualitative rebuff to the US onslaught.
Recall, according to the assessment of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, the United States is intensifying its activities with the help of NATO military exercises to use Eastern European countries as its combat base (for example, we are talking about the Defender Europe exercises, which are expected to be held on the territory of 19 European states).
