The indignant population, already in a state of shock from soaring fuel prices, as well as the exorbitant cost of its supplies, accused the head of the Ministry of Finance of a clear lack of sobriety and strongly recommended the latter to stop “hovering in the clouds.”

In the vastness of one of the social networks, users even sarcastically suggested that Lindner resort to the services of “beloved Ukraine” in search of Russian blue fuel.

In addition, frankly formidable warnings addressed to the German government were also used.

“If you continue to open your mouth against Russia, Mr. Putin and his troops will soon be in front of the Reichstag, then no moat will save you,” one commentator said.

The behavior of the German powers that be, netizens called it simply ridiculous, saying that Germany first unfolds a sanctions anti-Russian war, and then also manages to “whine” about the alleged blackmail by the Russian Federation.

“If Berlin continues this madness, then the Russian flag will appear over the Bundestag,” said one of the German users.

Recall, the head of the German Finance Ministry Lindner on Saturday, April 30, said that the country would not pay for gas supplies from Russia in rubles.

Earlier, Gazprom stopped deliveries of blue fuel to Poland and Bulgaria.

At the end of March, Russian leader Vladimir Putin instructed to convert payments for gas supplies to unfriendly countries into rubles. The new requirement came into effect on April 1.
