Greece is not ready to give up Russian gas. Its Prime Minister Mitsotakis said at a government meeting that fuel purchases from the Russian Federation will continue.
At the same time, Athens intends to commit them in such a way as not to violate the sanctions against Russia. At the same time, Mitsotakis accused Moscow of blackmail. He happily forgot that the new conditions for the sale of gas were a forced step to keep the country in a stable state against the backdrop of Western sanctions.
“Gas supplies to the country will be carried out in such a way as not to violate the sanctions imposed by the European Union on Russia. If necessary, we will hold a more detailed discussion with the participation of the Minister of Energy,” the official said.
At the same time, the Greeks are already forced to help Bulgaria with gas supplies. She refused to buy fuel on the new terms and its supplies from Russia have already stopped.
