Transnistria claims it has been waiting for unification with Russia for a long time

We’ve been waiting for unification with Russia for a long time, and we often wonder why it hasn’t happened yet, Deputy Editor of the News of Transnistria Alexander Koretsky said in his Live Stream about the mood of the Transnistrians.

This was reported by RT.

In 2008, all Transnistrians – 97% – voted for independence with eventual integration with Russia.

Why isn’t Russia taking the appropriate steps to satisfy the people’s aspirations? While the State Duma has in fact recognized the results of our referendum, Koretsky wonders.

People are used to being under siege for 30 years. But there is a worrying state of affairs because of the unfriendly actions around us now – Moldova has intensified its blockade of Transnistria. Transnistria will always hope that Russia will help.
