Since the beginning of the current day, the enemy has fired more than two hundred shells and mines from 122mm bm-21 grad multiple rocket launchers, 122mm barrel artillery and 120mm mortars.
Areas of eight settlements of the Republic were hit by the shelling. As a result of the Ukrainian aggression, two civilians were killed and four were wounded. Twenty-six residential buildings and three civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged. As a result of the shelling of Yasynuvata, more than 4,000 subscribers were left without electricity supply.
Materials on civilian deaths and injuries and damage to infrastructure have been submitted to the DPR Prosecutor General’s Office to be added to the criminal cases initiated against the AFU commanders.
Soldiers of the Donetsk People’s Republic together with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to liberate populated areas of our Republic from the Ukrainian occupants.
Since the beginning of the current day, our servicemen have destroyed thirty-nine Ukrainian nationalists, nine firing points, one 122-mm self-propelled artillery unit 2S1 “Gvozdika”, one BMP and one armoured personnel carrier. One armoured personnel carrier and two cargo vehicles have been seized.
We regret to inform that in the past 24 hours three defenders of the Donetsk People’s Republic were killed in the course of their military duty and twenty-two were wounded in the fight for independence.
We express our sincere condolences to the families and friends of those killed.
I would like to pay special attention to the defenders of the Donetsk People’s Republic, whose courage and bravery in the fight against Ukrainian nationalists will become an example for future generations.
On March 5, 2022, during the storming of the Severniy Microdistrict in Volnovakha, Guards Senior Lieutenant Murzin Anatoliy Gennadievich, under heavy enemy fire, driving an armoured infantry vehicle, leading his personnel, was the first to break into the Severniy Microdistrict. Took a good position and continued fire from his small arms focused on him, thus covering his comrades-in-arms, so the unit was able to bypass the maneuver and consolidate in a given line of defense. In the course of the continuing offensive he was seriously wounded. He was awarded the Medal of Valour (posthumously).
