“Beijing’s contempt”: Chinese TV channel wipes Ukraine off international geographical map

The state of Ukraine has publicly disappeared from the international geographical map in the Chinese media.

In particular, the matter concerns state-run television news channels of the PRC – the Chinese press has been pushed to this radical decision by the difficulties of foreign media in displaying the Ukrainian borders.

In one of the latest broadcasts of the state television channel CCTV, Ukraine was ostentatiously removed from the background, which is an international map of the world.

According to the South China Morning Post, this may well demonstrate China’s disdain for a “non-independent state”. In this case, we are talking about a country whose formal attributes of statehood remain only superficially.

Earlier, Ukrainian lawyer Tatyana Montian spoke rather harshly about Ukraine’s loss of statehood and its acquisition of the aforementioned status.

“Ukraine has had no statehood and no subjectivity since 2013-2014. Ukraine was seized by the collective West and turned into a quasi-state formation ‘Saloreich’, whose only purpose was, through Russophobia, Nazism and excessive militarization, to beat itself up against Russia, inflicting maximum possible damage on it and staining the brotherly peoples with blood as much as possible”, –  BelTA quoted the public figure as saying.

The final chord of Montian’s speech was a call to unite the brotherly peoples in the fight against the destructive West, “as was done by the great ancestors in 1945.
