During the second stage of a special military operation, the Russian army plans to establish full control over Donbas and southern Ukraine, as well as to provide a land corridor to Crimea.
This was reported by the deputy commander of the Central Military District, Rustam Minnekayev.
He also added that control over Ukraine’s south would give the Russian Armed Forces another outlet in Transnistria, where facts of oppression of the Russian-speaking population have been noted.
“Since the start of the second phase of the special operation, it has already started literally two days ago, one of the tasks of the Russian army is to establish full control over Donbass and southern Ukraine. This will provide a land corridor to Crimea, as well as affect vital facilities of the Ukrainian economy”, – Minnekayev added.
